April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The Campus Collaborative Against Sexual Assault is promoting a focal event each week of April.
All are welcome to attend events and learn more about addressing sexual assault.

SAAM 2025 Campus Kick-OffCome learn about campus resources while we kick off a month of awareness about sexual assault. Help Cover the Cruiser, visit the campus resource fair, interact with activities and games, have a hot dog for lunch, and enter for a gift card drawing. (Rain date is April 3rd.)
Also, this day kicks off Together We Move, an initiative in partnership with Commit to Well that brings awareness through movement of all forms. Log your activity in the Commit to Well app or Give Pulse as together we work toward (fill in goal)….Every minute of movement activity = one minute of volunteer time. Cutoff date to record movement activity for volunteer time is April 20th. Recognition event to be held on April 22nd.

It’s time to hit the high notes and the heartstrings. This isn’t your average dorm-room singalong…it’s a campuswide call to come together, raise our voices, and show support during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Every lyric is a chance to stand in solidarity, spread awareness, and remind each other that care is cool, consent is key, and community matters. Free food, questionable falsettos, and zero judgment…just good vibes for a good cause!

The Unfolding Path A new SAAM event, The Unfolding Path is an empathy-driven awareness exercise that explores the victim to survivor journey in the aftermath of sexual assault. Through various vignettes, participants gain insight on various experiences of sexual assault victims/survivors. Although fictional, the elements of each story may bear similarities to lived experiences.
At the end of the path, the opportunity to talk with someone about the experience is available. In addition, confidential victim advocates will be onsite if anyone wants or needs to speak about any incidents of sexual assault. The program has been thoroughly reviewed by members of the campus community, including several student survivors and professionals with expertise in the field.The objective of The Unfolding Path is for participants to gain greater understanding of the experiences of their peers, as well as encourage the creation of more trauma-informed spaces.
